Audubon's Birds Vol. II, Blue and Water Birds: Color by Number Book (Printed Paperback)

A color by number book made from ten plates of John James Audubon's The Birds of America, printed in London between 1827 and 1838. Each picture is turned into a grid of 3,100 small squares, each with a number. Color every square with the color of its number and the bird appears. The birds: Tricolored Heron, Blue Jay, White Ibis, Brown Pelican, Eastern Bluebird, Great Blue Heron, Snowy Egret, Double-crested Cormorant, Wood Stork and Black-throated Magpie-Jay. Every bird is a spread. On the left page is the finished picture with its color key. On the right page is the numbered grid you color, so there is never a picture to color on the back of another. The lines and numbers are printed in light grey, so colored pencil covers them. White areas have no number and stay white. The plates are in the public domain. We made the grids from them with our own software and checked every page. The book also has a page to try your pencils and three blank grids for designs of your own. • Paperback, A4 (8.27 × 11.69 in), 32 pages, printed in color • Squares of 3.5 mm, made for sharp colored pencils • 60# uncoated paper.
