Gabriel's Horn, 3D Printed Math Sculpture of y = 1/x on an Engraved Plinth

Turn the curve y = 1/x around its axis, from x = 1 onwards, and you get Gabriel's horn, also called Torricelli's trumpet. It holds a famous paradox: its volume is finite, exactly π, but its surface is infinite. You could fill it with paint, yet never paint it. The horn stands on a matte black plinth. Round the plinth runs the engraving GABRIEL'S HORN · y = 1/x, x ≥ 1 · V = π · A = ∞. Lift the horn: a tunnel runs up inside it from the base and narrows towards the tip, like the horn itself.
